My philosophy...
I believe that a wedding or commitment ceremony should be a unique celebration of love and that no two ceremonies should be the same. Ceremonies should receive as much, if not more, attention than any other component of the "big day". After all, it is the heart of the celebration--the public declaration of your feelings for each other. Creativity must reign supreme when it comes to putting together your ceremony; no idea is trivial or foolish. I believe an officiant must respect the religious and spiritual preferences of each couple. Subsequently, I perform ceremonies that range from very religious to very secular in nature. An expression of faith should not be dictated by the officiant but by the partners in the marriage. As an officiant, my role is to implement your wishes, assist you with ideas, provide you with resources, and facilitate a smooth and worry-free ceremony.

Availability & Locations...
I am certified to perform ceremonies in most states, but I specialize (and have the best availability) in my home state of Colorado, as well as in Southern New England, Central Florida, and Minneapolis/St. Paul (where I have friends and family). I have a passion for travel and new adventures, so if you live elsewhere, don't assume I will not be able to perform your ceremony or that I will charge more. All my rates are the same regardless of location and I perform weddings in every site imaginable!

A Little Extra...
All the way along, I'll serve as your resource for all types of ceremony-related issues. I've got tons of experience in this regard (visit the About Maureen page for my credentials and experience) and if I can't answer your question right away, I'll find someone who can! I usually begin getting to know couples anywhere from two to 12 months prior to their ceremony date, so by the time the day comes along, we are good friends!
