From the moment you enter the spectacular circular driveway through the lush gardens you'll know Falkirk is the perfect place for your wedding! A 19th century country estate, Falkirk is listed on the National Historic Register. The 1888 Queen Anne Victorian with its picturesque roof line of gables, chimneys and bays captures the spirit of early California. The elegant interior offers an open floor plan of graceful curves and unexpected angles, and an abundance of charming detail. The rooms are crowned by radiant coffered ceilings and adorned with rich redwood paneling. The first floor has highly decorative fireplaces and floor to ceiling stained glass windows.

The grounds include a ceremonial garden and a picturesque Victorian greenhouse with gothic entry. A lovely verandah shaded by a 600-year-old oak is perfect for outdoor dining. Falkirk can accommodate up to 125 during the warm months.

Owned and operated by the City of San Rafael Falkirk has served the community as a cultural center and historic site for over 30 years. The house and grounds are available for weddings, receptions and private parties. Centrally located in San Rafael, Falkirk is just minutes north of the Golden Gate.

The Best Catering in Marin
Catering is contracted separately from a preferred list that includes many of Marin's finest caterers. The wide range of caterers will suit any style or budget.

Conditions for Rental
A non-refundable deposit equal to one half the rental fee is required to hold the date. In addition, a refundable security deposit, the balance of the rental fee and a certificate of insurance are required forty-five days prior to your event. The house has a wheelchair accessible entrance and there is ample free parking in adjacent lots.
