Formerly the private home of Frederick Clift, the hotel’s original owner in 1913, the Spanish Suite now serves as an exclusive private function room. Located on the 15th floor of the hotel and offering breathtaking views of the San Francisco cityscape, the Spanish Suite is the premiere location for intimate dinners or an unforgettable after party. Many period details remain in the Suite, including the rich wood-paneled walls, two dazzling crystal chandeliers, and a fireplace that creates a warm and inviting ambience. The classically chic custom furnishings, rich velvet drapes, and panoramic city views make the Spanish Suite the ultimate venue for a variety of private functions.

All catering is prepared by renowned restaurateur Jeffrey Chodorow’s Asia de Cuba, one of San Francisco’s finest restaurants. Asia de Cuba’s unique sharing menu features an innovative fusion of Asian and Latin cuisine, including such signature dishes as Tunapica—tuna tartare picadillo style with Spanish olives, black currants, almonds, coconut in a soy-lime vinaigrette served on wonton crisps; Miso Cured Alaskan Butterfish served over Cuban black bean and edamame salad, tempura shishito peppers, and yuzu citrus; and Asian Spiced Short Ribs with sweet soy glaze, roasted corn and avocado salad, and red onion escabeche. Individually plated meals are also available for more traditional preferences, including entrees such as Herb and Pepper Crusted Halibut with warm napa cabbage, carrot and mushrooms slaw and red pepper coulis, and the ever popular Mojito Marinated Pork Loin with boniato mash and port glaze.
